Dear Elizabeth,
Dr Richard Power went from Dublin to arrive in London before the 1841 Census. Then he went to Buninyong in Victoria as the first inland doctor in Ballarat District.
We think our ancestors came on the EAGLE in 1842 or end of 1841. Could you check for us please?

It is possible that Dr Richard Power was a surgeon- superintendant on the voyage.

The only reference I can find is Medical Pioneers which states they arrived on the Eagle, 5 March 1842 and he established himself at Buninyong as the First Doctor of the Inland. Daughter Delia was born 1844

The Argus Saturday 17 September 1904 reports the death 13 Sep of Henrietta Frances Rankin, second daughter of the late Dr Richard Power of Buninyong, aged 71 years, loving wife of W B Rankin, FRCSE, High St, St Kilda.
