From a friend on Thursday, 26 February, 2009

This was Margaret's sister Eliza, who I am sure none of the family has ever known of her existence, let alone having come to Victoria with Margaret. I have found Eliza's marriage to John Turnbull..three children..they did not marry so therefore no issue. The Moama/Echuca Historical people have a 'spare certificate' site. Someone has offered the death certificate for Eliza Turnbull...thank you very much.

Margaret Obrien wed John Manning in 1844 #116 at Roman Catholic St Francis Melbourne

From a friend on Thursday, 26 February, 2009

Your Ship's Lists, not only gave me the John Manning information, but I finally ascertained the arrival of his second wife, Margaret O'Brien. This was exciting enough, but as I stared at her name, I saw another O'Brien female listed. This was her sister Eliza, who I am sure nobody has ever known of her existence, let alone having come to Victoria with Margaret. I found her marriage, children, her death, and then her children disappear. I haven't searched thoroughly for them as yet. Your website alluded me to the fact that Margaret O'Brien the second wife of John Manning, came on the Brankinmoor with her sister Eliza. I have found Eliza's marriage to John Turnbull..three children..they did not marry so therefore no issue. The Moama/Echuca Historical people have a 'spare certificate' site. Someone has offered the death certificate for Eliza Turnbull...thank you very much.
