Edward Murphy, inquest he was in employ of Colonel Kenny. Driving a bullock dray which hit a stump. He was run over. Taken to Rev Geoghegan near the Catholic Church, where he died. A deodand of 6d was placed on the wheel of the dray, which had been the immediate cause of the fatal accident. Source - Port Phillip Herald 5 July 1844
