Advertised Tuesday 25th Feb 1840 - Five Pounds Reward Absconded from her service, on the night of 11 Feb, Elizabeth King, a native of London, 24 years of age, middle size, stout make, inclining to corpulency, high and broad shoulders, dark eyes and hair, pale complexion, and good looking, was dressed in mourning. She came to the colony by the John Bull, under engagement to a family, and indebted to them for money advanced to her in England. Any person giving such information to Mr Wright, at the police-office, as will lead to her apprehension, will receive the above reward; and all parties are hereby cautioned against harbouring or employing the said Elizabeth King. Melbourne, Feb 20, 1840.
