The Site is being rebuilt, with two indexes - ships listed per year, and people in alpha order, combining details.

Many thanks for your detailed information on the Sir Charles Forbes and its passengers. I can give you more information and group some of them as a family.
We know from letters and records in the family’s possession that my great-great grandfather was on the Sir Charles Forbes in 1841 with his family, only 4 of whom show up in the shipping records because they were assisted passengers. We assume he paid an inexpensive passage for himself, his wife and the 2 youngest boys - they were probably not eligible for assistance.
Ignatius Keogh 1772-1851 aged 79 (you have him in the 1847 directory)
his wife Frances Arabella Keogh 1790-1862 #3826 aged 72, dau of Frances Powelle and Jeremy French
their children:
Mary Keogh (single woman 25) ~1806-1866 (who married 1843 Joseph L’Estrange
Margaret Honora Keogh (single woman 26) 1812-1890 (who married 1841 James Mackey Seward
Julia Elizabeth Keogh (single woman 24) 1822-1889 (who married 1848 Peter McKillop, uncle of St Mary McKillop)
John Valentine Keogh (single man 21 Keough) 1824-1891 (who married 1853 Honora Moylan in NSW)
Michael Keogh 1826-1874 (who married 1853 Mary Jane Plunket who came June 1848 on the Adelaide
Edmund Keogh 1829-1901 (who married 1853 Mary Venner Price – in London)
You will note that Mary, Margaret and Julia are shown in the shipping records as younger than their real age, perhaps to make them more marriageable in Australia. The family were leaving behind hard times in Ireland.
