John Heaton's Ticket of Leave, dated 1 Aug 1840, shows he was tried 9 Apr 1832 at Lancasterm sentenced to 14 years, came 1833 on the Camden. On 7 March 1841 given permission to go to Port Phillip provided he remains in the service of Mr Waugh. He received his Certificate of Freedom 9 Sep 1846. He was baptised bf 18 May 1806 Bolton Le Moors, Lancashire, England and with Richard Heaton was charged with Highway Robbery on 21 January 1832 Breightmet, Bolton Le Moors, Lancashire, England and were caught drinking in a New Beer shop in Deansgate and paid with the same description of money as that of which Mr Horrocks aged 87 years, was robbed.
