See note from the Port Phillip Pioneer Register, Mark Coleman was born 1797 in Arlington, Sussex, England, enlisted in the Army in 1818, died on 15th July 1846 and was buried on 16th July 1846. He was 48 years old and was a Chelsea Out Pensioner.

From Webpage John Collier, born 1814 in Rochdale, Lancashire, England. Died 17-07-1882, Buried at Burwood. Aus., wed 1838 to Ann Schofield, born in England 1816, died 1901 in Victoria. They had 8 children, In 1840 John, Anne and Francis, left Liverpool, England, on board the " Salsette" bound for Port Phillip, Melbourne, arrived 02-01-1841 and complained of want of surgical advice for their child, on the voyage. One of their children, Samual, was born in a tent on the bank of Merri Creek. in 1842 and when age 20, his father made him a gift of a team of bullocks and he took to the carrying trade in Victoria and the Riverina. He later returned to Melbourne and bought a small farm at Box Hill which a sold after a short time and bought a larger farm, further back in the bush and worked it for four years. Then he purchased 80 acres at Scoresby/ Fern Tree Gully and after 5 years, purchased 125 acres and 52 in the Dandenong Ranges..
